About the company
Zumitomi Oy was established in 1997. Originally it was focused on importing automotive technology, and providing management and marketing services. In the late 1990s, when suitable website builders were difficult to find, we began building websites ourselves — starting in 1999.
Over the years we have built several web services and sold them. Currently our products are seku.chat (development & testing site) and privis.app (production site) — a private messaging service built on the principle that personal communication should stay personal.
privis.app — Private messaging, on your terms
Most messaging apps ask for your phone number, your email address, or both. They build a profile of who you talk to, how often, and from where. privis.app asks for none of that.
You create an account with only a username and password — no phone number, no email, no real name. Nothing that links your conversations back to you. The service works directly in your browser: no app to install, no account to verify, no data to hand over before you even send a single message.
Messages are encrypted. You choose how: Easy mode for convenience, Medium mode with a shared passphrase, or Hard mode with end-to-end encryption where the decryption key never leaves your device. Even we cannot read Hard mode messages — mathematically impossible.
privis.app is for anyone who values genuine privacy: people who discuss sensitive business matters, journalists protecting sources, individuals in difficult personal situations, or simply people who believe that "I have nothing to hide" should never be a reason to give up the right to a private conversation.
